Itziar Barrio is an interdisciplinary artist based in NYC. Her work has been presented internationally at the 14th Shanghai Biennale; Salt, Istanbul; ONX Onassis Foundation, NYC; e-flux, NYC; MACRO Museum, Rome; MATADERO, Madrid; MACBA, Barcelona; Museum of Contemporary Art of Belgrade, Serbia; PARTICIPANT INC, NYC; Abrons Arts Center, NYC; Anthology Films Archives, and others. Barrio’s monograph catalogue was published by international publishing house SKIRA in 2023 and she was awarded a 2024 Guggenheim fellowship.
