Sarah Anderson
Sarah is our fall 2024 resident joining us at our new location in Saratoga Springs NY. She is a Brooklyn-based artist and holds a BFA in Glass from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. She has attended residencies internationally, including Skowhegan, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace, A.I.R., Mana Contemporary BSMT, La Escuelita (Nicaragua), and CanSerrat (Barcelona). Her work has been exhibited at galleries and institutions such as Abrons Art Center, NURTUREart, Helena Anrather Gallery, A.I.R, White Box, and Vox Populi.

Morgan Hayes & Adrienne Bennett
Morgan Hayes is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. Her work revolves around scenario building and retelling of the queer Black experience. She also makes pieces about pop culture and its role as an accessible account of history. She’s inspired by the South, tricksters, doomscrolls, and collective joy and/or mourning. Her practice ranges from video, podcasting, photography and rug making to maintaining social media accounts for a performative alter ego. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia.
Adrienne Bennett (black femme, they/she) is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist who works with video, cyanotype printmaking on clothing or fabric, and drawing in the expanded field. Recent projects include a ten-episode local-access style television show alongside collaborator (and bestie) Morgan Hayes. “You Would” collages current art-world stories and its discontents, celebrity gossip, memes, and various mined YouTube content through hosted, non-scripted banter and sharing similar to daytime talk shows. They are currently very excited about ceramics after learning how to throw this Summer at Gasworks and are looking forward to being a part of The Bead Project scholarship program at UrbanGlass this fall.
Becca Blackwell
Becca Blackwell is a New York-based trans actor, performer, and writer who works collaboratively with playwrights and directors to expand our sense of personhood and the body. Blackwell, who exists between genders, and prefers the pronoun “they,” has worked with theater artists and playwrights like Young Jean Lee, Half Straddle, Jennifer Miller’s Circus Amok, Richard Maxwell, Erin Markey, Sarah Benson, Sharon Hayes, Theater of the Two Headed Calf, and Lisa D’Amour. Their past film and TV projects include, Marriage Story, Shameless, High Maintenance, Deadman’s Barstool, and Jack in the Box. Blackwell received the 2015 Doris Duke Impact Artist Award and has been profiled in The New Yorker, Gay Star News, and more. Blackwell makes their own work, touring their most recent solo show They, Themself, Scherm to over a dozen venues around the country.
For their project at Media Hour, Blackwell worked with collaborators Amanda Duarte, Jess Barbagallo, Amanda Hauser, Gregg Corbino, and Barbara Samuels.
David Kelly
David Kelley is an artist working with photography, video, and installation. His recent projects draw attention to the effects of global capitalism, resource extraction, and shifting physical and political landscapes. Influenced by a range of visual traditions, Kelley draws upon elements of experimental documentary, ethnography, performance, and avant-garde cinema. By working at the intersection of these strategies, he encourages an understanding of his subjects that is simultaneously direct and speculative.
His work has been shown in galleries and museums nationally and internationally. His work will be featured in “If I Had A Hammer,” FotoFest 2022 Biennial in Houston, Texas in Spetember. Recent exhibitions include the Madre Museum in Naples, Rencontres Internationales at the HOuse of World Culture in Berlin, and Museum of Modern Art in New York. Other exhibitions include Commonwealth and Council in Los Angeles, The Bank in Shanghai, the de Cordova Biennial in Boston, BAK in Utrecht, MAAP space in Australia, and the Jim Thompson Art Center in Bangkok.
Kelley received a Master of Fine Art from the University of California, Irvine, and was a 2010 -11 resident at the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program. He is currently based in Los Angeles, California, and is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Fine Arts at University of Southern California.
Jonathan Durham
Jonathan Durham received his MFA in sculpture from UCLA and in 2007 completed a two-year residency at the CORE Program Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Durham's practice explores the porous boundaries between the self and the environment. By drawing parallels between state violence and environmental harm, his sculpturally driven projects raise questions about how industry, culture and technology make their impressions on our bodies and the land. His work has been exhibited internationally including Zacheta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw, Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Galerie fur Gegenwartskunst, Bremen, Germany. He is the recipient of an Aunspaugh Fellowship from the University of Virginia where he received a dual BA in Studio Art and Psychology. He has taught Sculpture, Drawing, Performance and Critical Issues Seminars at the University of Virginia, Rice University, University of Houston, Auburn University and the Elmore Correctional Facility in Elmore County Alabama. Durham has participated in numerous artist residencies including Recess, Inc.“Session"NY, SHIFT -The Elizabeth Foundation, Socrates Sculpture Park EFA Program, Bemis Arts Center, the Tulsa Artist Fellowship 2020-22. He is a forthcoming resident of Sculpture Space, Utica, NY Fall 2022 cohort.
Kelsey Harrison
Kelsey Harrison’s sculptural work has been shown in institutions nationally including The Jewish Museum, Abrons Art Center, and The Knockdown Center in New York, SOMArts in San Francisco, The Sullivan Galleries in Chicago, The College of William and Mary in Virginia, and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and the Utah Museum of Fine Art in Salt Lake City. Harrison received her BFA in Sculpture from Purchase College, State University of New York and her MFA in Sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of Memphis.
Quincy Flowers
Quincy Flowers is a writer, who lives in Brooklyn, NY. He holds graduate degrees from creative writing programs at the University of Houston and NYU, where he received a New York Times Fellowship. Awards include a grant from the Ludwig-Vogelstein Foundation and a residency at the Headlands Center for the Arts. His work has been published in Black Renaissance / Renaissance Noire, and Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic.
He is inspired by the Flying Africans trope in American fiction, a device that typically reveals the conflict between death and life, past and present, “Africa” and “America,” faced by slaves and their descendants.
Itziar Barrio
Itziar Barrio is a multimedia artist based in NYC. Her recent survey exhibition was curated by Johanna Burton, Director of The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles and former curator at the New Museum. Barrio's work has been presented internationally at: MACRO Museum, MATADERO Madrid, MACBA Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art of Belgrade, PARTICIPANT INC, Museo del Banco de la República, and at the Havana Biennial. Itziar Barrio is currently concluding her long term project THE PERILS OF OBEDIENCE (2010 - 2022), and it will premiere at PARTICIPANT INC in NYC in 2022.
Itziar Barrio is a NEW INC member at the NEW MUSEUM (2020-2022), and she was a recipient of the Spanish Academy in Rome Fellowship (2018-2019). Barrio has received awards including grants from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, the Brooklyn Arts Council, the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. She has participated in residencies including the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, La Escuelita Nicaragua and ISCP. She has lectured internationally and teaches at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.

Jordan Strafer
Jordan Strafer (b.1990, Miami, FL) is an artist, working primarily in video, based in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from The New School in 2016 and her MFA from Bard College in 2019. She has participated in group exhibitions at Red Tracy, Copenhagen, (2020-21); Housing, New York (2020); SculptureCenter, New York (2020); The New Museum, New York (2021); Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt, Berlin (2021). In 2020-21 she presented a web-based project, No Bag, for Participant Inc’s online platform, Participant After Dark. Her first solo exhibition, PUNCHLINE opened at Participant Inc in January 2022.
